Originally appearing here was a satirical written piece about animals which arrived at a conclusion that was found to be quite objectionable by some readers. The specifics of that conclusion I do not intend to go into in any depth.
Suffice it to say that although I believe entirely in the concepts of free speech and more specifically in journalistic freedom, which must be permitted to confront mainstream sensibilities and which occasionally will strain the limits of good taste, I have chosen to remove the written piece. I admit that sounds like a cop out, but so what.
I feel this decision is justified for a few reasons. The first is to be socially responsible and recognize the public impact things can have to disturb the peace and incite trouble. Much like a person shouldn't yell fire in a crowded movie theatre unless a fire actually exists, a person must consider the outcome of their words on their readers.
The second reason is that this website is a complete joke and I have about as much journalistic integrity as Fox News. I have no problem censoring this crap because it is crap, and it knows it is crap so it doesn't mind.
So in conclusion, take care of yourselves and each other, and have a nice day.
