On the internet you can play chess against other people. I don't really like chess or anything, its pretty boring, but I had this funny idea.
I thought I might obtain a computer chess game. One where you can play against your computer and it has different difficulty levels all the way up to the duke of chess. My dad used to have a chess program on our computer and he could beat any level, I couldn't beat the first level.
Anyway, so I'd get a high level chess program. Then I would find some chess league on the internet and find some guy to play. Then I would start a game against the toughest level of the chess program and play my opponents moves against the program, and then copy the moves of the program and use them against this guy. That way I could rise to the summit of online chess weirdos.
That seems funny but its not worth it. But it got me thinking about something even better. An online chess program where you can play dontshakethebaby.
Before I get into that though, first I'll you some interesting facts about chess.
Chess was invented by milton bradley in the 1970's, a lot of people think it was around for a lot longer, but it wasn't.
Chess is often used as a metaphor for life. That comparison is completely mistaken.
IBM built a computer called deep blue to beat Gary Kasparov at chess. He beat it. Then they built a better one, and it beat him. This proved that russian genius was no match for american shortcut taking and ended the cold war. A lot of people don't know that.
Women have historically not been very interested in chess, but this is changing. Now over 1% of women are aware of the rules of chess and have watched it played by two men.
Chess is the intellectual equivalent of wrestling, totally boring to anyone but the 2 people involved and deeply homosexual.
So it took me about 6 months of work but I managed to make an online chess game. I programmed all my mastery of the game of chess into this miracle of modern supercomputing. So when you play it, in essence you are playing me.
What reason would you want to play? I will make it interesting. I am so confident in my chess programs ability, that if it doesn't beat you in 3 moves, I will give you a free dstb t shirt. That's right, a free t-shirt!
