When I was young my family moved around a lot. I never spent more than a year in the same school until grade five. A new city = a new school. A new school = no friends for at least two months. Don’t take this the wrong way. I am not complaining yet. You see this experience taught me the value of friendship. You never know how important friends are until you don’t have any.

I have always kept this in the back of my mind since I have moved here, but had recently lost site of this. For the last couple of months the television and Tony Hawk Pro Skater have been my buddies and I didn’t really want to leave their company. But this last December made me realize something. Television and play station are no match for the real Mcoys, or in the case of my friends, the fat Mcoys. Zing.

I had a friend come back from the far east this Christmas and the only night he was in town I didn’t even want to go out. But I’m glad I did. It made me realize that just ‘cause someone moves away there still down. Also it made me realize what good friends I have who still live minutes away from me. With all my complaining aside, I’m pretty lucky.

So this is it, a new millenium. I have the feeling this is going to be our century. Happy New-Year shit-heads.

“I just wrote the dumbest song, its gonna be a sing along,

All my friends will clap and sing; my enemies will laugh and be pointing.

It says many things, bout what the thoughtless are thinking,

But I’m much more concerned with what were drinking.
