TV witches may add some credibility to bogus religion
Her search began when as a teen she joined a Christian youth group to find answers to her questions in the popular western religion.
Somehow she was not satisfied. After converting from Protestantism to Catholicism she began to question whether some other interpretations of western religions might have answers. After accidentally sitting in a philosophy classroom in college she was introduced to secular humanism which she found fascinating.
Soon she was attracted to Eastern philosophies, going so far as to read a book by an American author about his study of Confucianism. This held her attention for a while but soon her search began again.
Next she took an interest in Taoism, which was not exactly what she was looking for, but led her towards Buddhism, catalyzing her interest in Zen philosophies for nearly a year.
There was still some spiritual void, so she again looked to the west, taking an interest in a new form of environmentalism and ecological pantheism. This earthy spirituality aroused her interested in Native American religions and shamanism, which she was strongly committed too until her discovery of south American astrological spirituality.
This gave way to a commitment to a form of astrology and hippie pot philosophy she adopted while dating a folk guitarist in a local Grateful Dead cover band.
Finally she found the meaning she sought by worshipping the goddess Isis in pagan wicca ritual.
Her long search has lead her to something she really feels connected too. After almost three months she feels like she is spiritually practically almost complete. In her own words:
"It's so amazing, after what seemed like a lifelong wild goose chase I discovered real spirituality. Ironically now I actually chase wild geese, then me and my sisters split the gooses rib cage open, drape the entrails over our pagan altar and divine the future by reading the contents of its mutilated organs.
I've never felt so in touch with myself."
